The Colorado Unwanted Horse Alliance works closely and endorses the foundational work of the National Unwanted Horse Coalition. Both organizations are in agreement that "some horses may slip through the various safety nets within the equine industry. Too many owners are unaware of, or do not give enough thought to the available options, services and assistance available in the industry to help them ensure that their horse has caring and humane support throughout it's life."
Please visit the National Unwanted Horse Coalition's site and read or download the information contained in their publication, "Own Responsibility". The advice, direction and guidance provided in this valuable publication will guide your decisions as you explore potential Colorado options.
